St. Augustine FL Newborn Photographer Talks Colors for Your Baby's Session
How to Choose Colors for your Newborn Baby Session for your Studio Session in St. Augustine
My premier studio located in St. Augustine FL is stuffed full of hand made, boutique newborn baby props like knit and felted stuffies, specialized wooden bowls and beds, and unique colored wraps like lavender, sage, and dusty rose. So believe me when I say I know it can be overwhelming to choose the perfect color scheme for your baby’s newborn session.
The first step is to think about their nursery. If you already have a theme for your baby’s room then take a picture and send it to me and I can pull different colors that will go with your son’s or daughter’s new room. It also helps to look at the décor of your home: Do you decorate your house with neutral colors like beige, grey, and white? Or do you prefer bold jewel colored themes like teal, wine, navy, and mustard yellow? I make sure that your home’s color palette is incorporated into your baby session, be it with my studio’s various backdrop colors like navy, beige, grey, and chestnut, or with your choice of studio gowns like my boutique beige tulle gown or hand sewn deep red dress.
If you have a something sentimental to incorporate into your baby’s newborn session definitely tell me and send me a photo beforehand and I will choose a set up with colors and props that compliment the item and make them flow together. Grandma’s light pink heirloom blanket will look amazing with my antique wooden bed and white barnwood plank flooring, but I can only set that up if you let me know beforehand.
Lastly, choose some colors you really love. If you love pure, simplistic, timeless colors, then tell me! If you love bold, rich, vibrant colors, that’s great! If you like organic, earthy, moody tones, then let’s get started on set ups that focus on that. Regardless of what colors go well in your home or hit close to your heart, we can make your dream a reality!
